The Isle of Wight

Two hours South of London, lying just off the centre of southern England lies the Isle of Wight, the perfect place to enjoy a holiday at any time of year. There are fascinating attractions for all ages. and plenty of sporting facilities but the island has always been that special place for a great beach holiday.

For those who prefer to unwind and explore, there's so much to discover. Nearly half of the Isle of Wight is listed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are over five hundred miles of footpaths and bridleways for walkers and cyclists.

There is a choice of four ferry routes over to the Island, fast catamarans and hovercraft for day trips and three vehicle ferries if you bring your car or want to enjoy a more leisurely cruise to the Isle of Wight. You can depart from the naval dockyard of Portsmouth, or from the busy port of Southampton, or from the little port of Lymington and get magnificent views of the western Solent.

Five hundred miles of footpaths, stunning scenery, secluded sandy beaches, windswept headlands, English pubs, restaurants, walking, cycling, horse riding, sailing, paragliding, swimming, surfing, fishing, fossil hunting, castles, museums, adventure parks, festivals, carnivals, country fairs, craft villages, bird watching, red squirrels, ...
We could go on and on... but you really have to come and see it for yourself.
